Intermittent light and heavy rains are continuing in different areas of Karachi while water is standing in many areas including the underpasses of the city.
Light and heavy rains occurred in many areas in Karachi on Monday and Tuesday night, while light and heavy rains have continued intermittently in the city since Tuesday morning.
Rainwater has accumulated in the roads and houses of Defense Phase 4 while Khayaban Nishat, Commercial Area and some areas of Phase 6 have also accumulated rainwater.
Rainwater is also collected at the Old City area and the tower, while Gulshan Iqbal 13D drain has overflowed, there is water in front of Nipa Bridge and Federal Urdu University on University Road.
In Clifton, rainwater has accumulated in the submarine underpass, due to which the underpass is closed, there is water on both the tracks going to and from Ittihad from Khayaban Shahbaz, rain water is also standing in Khayaban Rahat and drainage has not been done while Khayaban Rahat The streets and roads of Bukhari commercial area are submerged in water.
Gurumandar Chowk is closed for traffic due to accumulation of rain water.
The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of moderate and some heavy rain in the city till Wednesday.
