Australia's T20 World Cup and India tour squad announcement


 

Cricket Australia has announced the squad for the T20 World Cup and the tour of India.

The Australian cricket team will play a 3-match T20 series in India in September, followed by a home series against the West Indies, England and India after the India tour.

In the ICCT Twenty World Cup, the Australian team will play the first match against New Zealand on October 22.

The T20 World Cup squad includes captain Aaron Finch, Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Tim David, Josh Hazlewood, Josh Ingles, Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell.  Kane Richardson, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, Marcus Stoins, David Warner and Adam Zampa are also part of the Australian squad.


 Cricket Australia says that Tim David has been included in the squad while Mitchell Swepson has not been able to make a place in the squad.

Cricket Australia said that David Warner was not included in the tour of India due to T20 World Cup preparations and Cameron Green will go to India in his place.
