In the Commonwealth Games, Pakistani wrestlers lost the gold medal to their Indian rivals, after which the silver medal was their destiny.

In the 74 kg category, Pakistan's Sharif Tahir won the silver medal, he could not defeat India's Naveen in the final.
This is Pakistan's third silver and seventh overall at the Commonwealth Games, including only one gold medal.
It should be noted that this was the first international event of 20-year-old Sharif Tahir.
