Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has challenged in the court the election schedule issued by the Election Commission for 9 constituencies of the National Assembly.
PTI has filed a separate petition in the Islamabad High Court through advocate Faisal Chaudhry seeking suspension of the election schedule.
The petition states that the petition against the phased acceptance of resignations of PTI members is pending.

In the petition of PTI, it is said that the court has heard the petition on August 4 and issued a notice, so the schedule issued by the Election Commission on August 5 should be suspended.
It should be remembered that yesterday, the Election Commission had released the schedule of by-elections for 9 seats of the National Assembly and said that elections would be held in these constituencies on September 25.
