Shaheen Shah Afridi out of Asia Cup due to injury

The PCB Medical Advisory Committee and independent specialists recommended rest to the cricketer in the light of the latest scans and reports.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, the fast bowler of the national cricket team, has been advised to rest for four to six weeks.

Shaheen Afridi is likely to return to cricket for the T20 tri-series in New Zealand in October.

Shaheen Afridi's replacement for the ACCT Twenty20 Asia Cup will be announced soon.

Pakistan cricket team will leave Rotterdam for Dubai on Monday for the Asia Cup.

It should be noted that Shaheen Afridi suffered a right knee injury in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle.
