 Death Valley in the US state of California has set a record for the hottest day in September.

The highest temperature on Earth was recorded in Death Valley yesterday at 53 degrees Celsius.

According to meteorologists, the weather is likely to be extremely hot in the US states of Arizona, Nevada and California next week.
